This Vibhudhi Matham is close to Rudraksh Matham. There were five Mathams housing sages and great saints in the ancient times helping them to continue their penance. It appears that these five mathams helped many Saints to comfortably stay in the deep jungle of yester years. Vibhudhi is nothing but the sacred ASH. The sacred ash is produced in a process from and out of cow dung. The sweet scented smell of the Vibhudhi mesmerizes every one upon wearing of the same. In some parts of Sri Sailam still this process is continuing. It appears that this particular Matham was robbed and people dug the entire area in quest of secret treasures. It is practically seen that the entire unique site of this Holy monument is left open as a shelter for undesirable elements.
